Racquet Call

Tennis gear scores, refereed — strings first.

Reviewers disagree about racquets and strings. We collect the reviewers who actually publish scores, put them side by side on every product, and label exactly how many scored sources stand behind each number. No score appears here without a named source, and no score is ever converted between scales.

6 products have earned a Consensus label so far, 10 sit at Panel (2 sources), and the rest are honestly labeled Single-source. The counts grow as mining reaches each product — we'd rather show a small honest table than a big padded one.

Strings — the repeat buy

A racquet lasts years. A poly string goes dead in 10–20 hours of play. The string database — 37 brands, 112 families, by material and gauge — plus tension and restring guidance is the heart of this site. 35 string families carry scored pages so far.

Racquets — the big decision

19 brands, 58 lines, 169 models in our census. 26 racquets carry scored pages; the rest have census pages that say plainly when no scored source has rated them yet.

How we score

Consensus (3+ sources), Panel (2), Single-source (1) — the label is on every score. Tennis's deepest scored source is a retailer; we flag that on every single use.

The honest part: tennis does not have pickleball's deep bench of independent scored reviewers. Our Oct 31, 2026 mining wave works with six active scored sources — Tennis Warehouse (a retailer), TennCom, Tennis Companion, tennis MAGAZIN (Germany, category scores only), Sandplatz Tennis (Germany, author string tests) — plus the Stringforum crowd database, which was found offline and contributes nothing right now. We built the labels and the site to tell you that on every page instead of faking a 20-reviewer consensus.
